Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) is obtained by candidates seeking admission into educational institutions if the particular institution mandates the need of the document. It is issued in accordance with the existing provisions after validation by the Deputy Commissioner and Sub-Divisional Officers (Civil). The document would include a statement conveying that the certificate is only valid for the purpose of admission into the particular institution, and for not any other purposes. Eligibility for PRC Certificate Assam
