The Government of Assam has decided to conduct the next phase of 'Gunotsav' in April 2022. The first phase of Gunotsav will be organized next year from April 5 to April 7 and the second phase from April 20 to April 22, 2022.

CM Sarma attended a meeting to discuss the detailed framework for Gunotsav to be held next year at Janata Bhavan on Sunday. The proposed Gunotsav will cover 46,251 Government, Provincialized and Tea Garden Managed Schools covering 42,51,524 students.
The Chief Minister asked the officials to develop the implementation framework focusing on celebration of quality and to ensure quality education with improved learning outcomes.Discussed the framework of the upcoming Gunotsav at a meeting with Education Dept officials.

The 'Axom Sarba Sikshya Abhiyan Mission' has already given its directions to the IS (Inspector of Schools), and the DEEOs (District Elementary Education Officers) in this regard. The notification has also been issued to the DMCs (District Mission Coordinators) in this context.
The notification added that the respondents wil have to upload their details of the treachers and student database before October 31. The details will have to uploaded in the official website --- www.axomssa.com.
Mentionably , the 'Gunatsav' was held for the maiden time in the State in 2017. No Gunatsav was held due to the pandemic during the last two years
Gunotsav is a quality enhancement initiative of the State for bringing about improvement in learning levels of students at the school level.
