The Assam Government is planning to reopen educational institutes including schools and colleges from the month of September 2020 if COVID-19 situation comes under control in Assam.
“Gradually we have to plan to open the schools and colleges from September 1. We will convene the meeting of the Education Task Force. We have to find out the ways with a new set of rules for the reopening of educational institutes without the possibility of infection to the students,” said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma at an event at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) on Monday.
He urged the newly-appointed laboratory technicians to work rigorously so that the COVID-19 situation in the state turns to normal within the month of August 2020.
