Assam 2020 HSLC and HS results expected by June end

Amid the nationwide lockdown due to COVID-19, the Board of Secondary Education, Assam (SEBA) and AssamHigher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) is going to declare the HSLC results 2020 and HS Final Results 2020 by Mid-June. Addressing a press meet at NHM Office, Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma declared it on Thursday 7^th May 2020 Mr.Sarma also told that mark sheets will be given digitally only and students can take admission on the basis of the digital marksheet.

AHSEC Controller Pankaj Borthakur said “Before the lockdown was announced, the council had completed 80 percent of the assessment process. The assessment process started on March 14 and resumed on April 22 after the state the government set up an assessment center under the Emergency Services Department, ”

Speaking to media, the SEBA chairman, R. C. Jain, said that the evaluation of answer scripts has been completed and these have been brought back to the board’s office in a phased manner.

SEBA has only post assessment work left which has been hampered due to lockdown. “The assessment process for the Class X examination has been completed by 27th April 2020. Results in June is expected, the dates will be decided after the lock is lifted,” the official said.

Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma declared Assam School Summer Vacation 2020 from 1^st May to 31^st May 2020 across the state. Normally, summer vacation used to be given in July every year.

Previously AHSEC Promotes HS First-Year Students for the academic year will 2019-2020 to the second year for the session 2020-2021 due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
