Khelo India Youth Games is a part of the revamped national program for the development of sports, Khelo India. After the resounding success of the Khelo India School Games in 2018, it is back in 2019 in a much bigger and better version as the Youth Games. For the first time, students from colleges and universities are participating and will have a total of 9000 participants.

The third edition of Khelo India Youth Games 2020 is held in Guwahati, Assam. Khelo India 2020 Guwahati ( KIYG 2020) started from 10th January & ended on 22nd January 2020,

Assam is now in the 7th spot in the medals tally with a collection of 13 gold, 13 silver, and 15 bronze on 19th January 2020.

The first, second and third spots in the medals tally of the Khelo India Youth Games 2020 are currently being occupied by Maharashtra, Haryana, and Delhi.

Maharashtra has bagged a total of 171 medals till now in the Games followed by Haryana and Delhi with 125 and 85 medals respectively.

Shivangi Sarma at Khelo India Youth Games 2020

Assam’s Shivangi Sarma brought laurels to the State by clinching her third gold medal in the U21 Girls 400-metre Freestyle Swimming Competition at the ongoing Khelo India Youth Games 2020 in Guwahati on Saturday.
