Directorate of Technical Education Assam will conduct counselling of Assam PAT 2019 starting from 17^th June to 29^th June 2019. Assam Polytechnic 2019 counselling will be conducted in offline mode and in a centralized manner at Assam Engineering Institute, Chandmari, Guwahati-3. To participate in the counselling process, Assam PAT candidates need to qualify in the offline exam and score the minimum prescribed marks in their respective categories. We have attached the official lists of the Assam Polytechnic Counselling Schedule 2019. The candidate has to report for Assam PAT counselling 2019 in person on the assigned date and venue. Candidates who had qualified the Assam Polytechnic (PAT) Entrance Exam 2019 as per the announced Result are eligible for the counselling for admission to the various diploma courses for the session 2019-20.

Admission Procedure into Polytechnics of Assam 

A counselling will be held at AEI, Chandmari, Guwahati-3 for admission into the diploma courses at Assam Polytechnic for the session 2019-20. The date and venue of which published along with the result of the Polytechnic Admission Test 2019. The criteria for Admission are:-

• Selection of Polytechnic and branch of Engineering of a candidate will be determined on the basis of merit of the admission test at the time of interview.
• Final selection against the quota reserved for the categories of N.C.C and Sports shall be made by a Selection Board.
• If discontinued studies in between passing the last examination of Board/ University a gap the certificate must be produced at the time of Interview.
• Candidates cannot undertake any other courses of study once admitted in a Polytechnic.

Assam Polytechnic Counselling 2019 Process

• Assam Polytechnic Admission Test 2019 Counselling will be conducted centrally in offline mode.
• Candidates shortlisted for Assam Polytechnic Counselling 2019 based on their category and marks they have obtained in Assam PAT entrance exam 2019.
• All eligible candidates have to report for counselling in person at the designated venue and on the scheduled day, details of which will be published after the Assam PAT 2019 result.
• At the time of reporting, the candidate needs to bring all originals documents and photocopies, and also duly filled Form B.
• Allotment of seats will be based on the merit rank of the candidate.
• Assam PAT 2019 seat allotment authorities apart from a common merit list will prepare also prepare category-wise merit lists.
• If a candidate belonging to reserved category appears in more than one merit lists - say common merit list and category-wise list - he/she would be considered for seat allotment in each of these categories separately. That being said, a candidate will be allotted one seat only.
• Once admitted to a polytechnic, the candidate will not be allowed to undertake any other course

Assam Polytechnic Counselling 2019 Eligibility Criteria:

For eligible to participate in Assam Polytechnic 2019 counselling, the candidate needs to score the minimum marks prescribed in their respective categories i.e SC/ST/OBC/MOBC/

Documents checklist for Assam Polytechnic Counselling 2019

• Original Admit Card, Mark sheets, and pass certificate of 10^th Standard.
• Original Caste certificate (if applicable)
• One copy of recent passport size photograph
• Admit card of Assam PAT 2019
• Non-creamy certificate issued by Deputy Commissioner of the respective district for OBC/MOBC, TGLC/Ex -TGLC, Moran community candidates
• Self-attested Photostat copy of all relevant certificates.
• Permanent Residence Certificate must be submitted.
• Part-B of the Form duly and properly filled in Part-B Form is attached in the Information Brochure and also may b downloaded from the website http://dte.assam.gov.in.
