13 Candidates From Assam Shines in UPSC Civil Services Exam 2018
A total of 13 candidates from Assam have shines in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), 2018 examination which was conducted on June 3, 2018 and A total of 10,468 candidates qualified for Written (Main) Examination which was held in September  to October, 2018. A total of 1994 candidates qualified for the Personality Test conducted in February to  March 2019.As per the results announcement in the UPSC  official website https://upsc.gov.in./ around 759 candidates, comprising 577 men and 182 women, have been recommended for appointment to Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, Indian Police Service and Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.

Kanishak Kataria has topped in UPSC examination.He is a B. Tech (Computer Science& Engineering) Graduate from IIT, Bombay. From State of Assam, Tanmay Vashistha Sharma had secured 10th position while Mrigank Shekhar Pathak secured 103rd rank in UPSC.
