The Assam State Biodiversity Board invites applications from interested post-graduate students in Life Sciences (preferably fresh pass out) for short term engagement under 9th batch of 'Biodiversity Research Associate Programme (BRAP) Fellowship' for the following works:
Age limit: Minimum age is 20 years, but not above 30 years.
1. For assisting selected Biodiversity Management Committees (BMC) of Assam in preparation of their People's Biodiversity Registers (pBR).
a. Vacancy: 20 Fellows
b. Desirable qualifications: M.Sc in Life Sciences, preferably Botany and Zoology specialization
c. Duration of engagement: 3 months (Anytime from l5th March 19 to l5th September 19)
d. Fellowship: Stipend of Rs 8000 per month + Rs 21,000/- contingency for 3 months towards field visits, documentations etc)
2, For updating Digital People's Biodiversity Registers of Assam
a. Vacancy: 4 Fellows
b. Desirable qualifications: M.Sc in Botany (preferably with Taxonomy specialization)
c. Duration of engagement: 3 months (tentatively from 15thMarch I 9 to 14th June 19)
d. Fellowship: Rs 15000 per month (Fixed)

Fellowships:
Rs 8,000 pm + total contingency of Rs 21,000/- for 3 months towards field visits, documentation etc.)
The fellowship is being offered for: Assisting one (1) BMC in preparation of Peoples' Biodiversity Registers (PBR)
Desirable Qualifications: We are looking for post-graduate students in Life Sciences (Preferably fresh pass outs with Botany and Zoology as specialization) having fair knowledge of identification of local plants and animals, their scientific names, common uses etc. The candidates must have ability to interact with communities and take records in local language. Good computer skills (Word/Excel) are essential.
Those who are currently enrolled for Post Graduate Courses (Final semester having only Dissertation works) may also apply through their Head of Department.
Selection Procedure:
Application shall be examined by the Board and shortlisted candidates may be called for personal interaction and aptitude assessment.
The performance of the selected candidates shall be reviewed by the Board periodically and in the event of 'non- satisfactory' performance, the Board shall have the right to terminate the Fellowship.
