Assam PAT 2020 Counselling
Director of Technical Education (DTE), Assam has released the official notification for Assam Polytechnic (PAT) 2020 Counselling. Assam PAT 2020 Counselling is being held for admission into the 1st semester diploma courses in the State Polytechnics of Assam. This year due to Covid-19 pandemic, Assam PAT 2020 Counselling will be held in online mode.

- Date of 1st round counselling: 9th October to 15th October 2020.
Assam PAT 2020 Counselling Eligibility Criteria
The aspiring eligible candidates having Polytechnic Admission Test 2020 score are to participate in the online counselling process. The link of the online portal will be available in https:/dte.assam.gov.in.
For Diploma courses in Engineering and Technology, a candidate must fulfill the following Conditions:-
(a) Must qualify in the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT-2020) for admission into Diploma Courses' offered by SCTE, Assam as notified by the DTE, Assam.
(b) The candidate must pass the H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination in a single sitting (without grace marks in Science and Mathematics) with Mathematics and Science as compulsory subject with -
* 40% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for General candidates
* 35% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for SC candidates.
* 33% marks (in Average) in Mathematics and Science for ST Candidates.
(c) If there is tie in PAT marks then the rank of the candidates will be decided by the mark obtained in the following subjects in order will be considered:
* General Science
* General Mathematics
* English
* MIL
* Other subject
If there is still a tie after considering the above subjects, seniority (DOB) will be considered.
The first round of online counselling for admission into the 1st semester diploma courses in the State Polytechnics of Assam will be held from 9th October to 15th October 2020.
Candidates must upload correct and true data/documents regarding the following :
a) Educational qualification
b) Date of Birth
c) Caste/ Category
d) PAT-2020 Score
e) PRC* and
f) other relevant data.
If any given information is found false, she/he will be disqualified at any stage and criminal proceedings will be drawn against him/her for misleading the counselling process and depriving the genuine candidates and it will be published in the public domain.
(a) Must qualify in the Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT-2020) for admission into Diploma Courses' offered by SCTE, Assam as notified by the DTE, Assam.

Document Required for Assam PAT 2020 Counselling
Candidates must upload correct and true data/documents regarding the following :

- All categories (except Central Government Employee (CGE) Category): Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of the candidate/ parent, BPL Card of the parents or other relevant document (e.g. Aadhar Card) indicating Permanent residence of Assam.
- For Central Government Employee (CGE) Category: Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) of the candidate/ parent, BPL Card of the parents or other relevant document (e.g. Aadhar Card) indicating Permanent residence of outside Assam.
1. The aspiring candidate must keep track of the online counselling process to participate in the counselling process. It is responsibility of the candidate to provide his /her response within the stipulated time in the online portal.
2. Candidates must upload correct and true data/documents regarding the information and especially educational qualification, Date of Birth, Caste/ Category, PAT-2020 Score, PRC and other relevant data.
3. The status of allotment of the institution and branch of the candidates will be uploaded in the portal. If a candidate does not provide sufficient options of branches and institutions, she/he will be allotted available branch and institute at that time.
4. After publication of the candidates institution and branch, the candidate must submit the acceptance letter in the given format to receive final allotment of institution and branch(by 17th October, 2020, 5 pm)
5. Only such candidates who accepts the admission offer and who takes admission at the allotted institution will only be considered for further up gradation of his choice of institution and branch in the subsequent round of counselling, if any.
6. Candidates are to take admission at the allotted institute and failing to attend the online classes by 20 October, 2020 without prior information and valid reasons, his /her allotment of seats will be cancelled without any notice and will be filled up by the other aspirants in order of merit list.
7. After Online Allotment of Institution and Branch, the candidate must fill up the Acceptance Letter regarding the allotted seat and upload the same within the notified date & time for final allotment of seat and for consideration for further up gradation of the consecutive round of allotment, if any. ,
8. Candidate failing to upload the Acceptance Letter with in the stipulated time will forfeit the allotted seat and she/he will not be considered in the subsequent round of allotment. The seat allotted to him/ her will be allotted to next aspirant in order of merit.

c) Last date of admission at allotted institute online and attend the online classes: 20th of October, 2020, 5.00PM.
