Discipline-wise vacancies:

• Electrical: 30
• Mechanical: 45
• Electronics/ Instrumentation: 25

Age limit: 27 Years. Age relaxation is applicable as per rules.

Educational Qualification: 

Full-time Bachelor’s Degree (Engg/ Technology/ AMIE) with not less than 65% marks.

Selection Process: 

Eligible candidates must have appeared for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) - 2020. Based on the GATE-2020 marks and requirement, candidates will be shortlisted for the further selection process (GD and Interview). The final merit list will be prepared based on 85% weightage Of GATE-2020 marks. 5% weightage of GD marks and 10% weightage of Interview marks. However, the candidate has to qualify separately in GD & Interview. 

Please note that for ET-2020 recruitment, GATE marks of 2020 will only be valid.

The candidates, who have applied online for GATE 2020, will receive their GATE-2020 Registration Number printed on their admit card. On receipt of GATE registration number, the candidates need to apply online for NTPC ET-2020 on the website www.ntpccareers.net from 16.06.2020 to 06.07.2020.
