Applications are invited in Standard form for the 56 posts of Assistant Teachers in Govt LP/UP schools from MTET qualified candidates falling under the Amralem subdivision of West Jaintia Hills district, Meghalaya. The Meghalaya Board of School Education is an Autonomous body of the Education Department which was established in 1973. Its Headquarter is located at Tura, West Garo Hills, and headed by the Executive Chairman of the Board. The Education Department is headed by the Minister of Education, Govt. of Meghalaya.

1. Assistant Teacher (LP Schools)

No. of posts: 54

Scale Pay: Level 5

Essential Qualifications: 
Class 12th passed with 50% for General candidates and 45% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates with D.EI.Ed. or B.Ed. (if appointed shall mandatorily undergo a 6 months Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by NCTE within two years of appointment as Primary teachers) As per NCTE Notification dated 23/8/2010- SI 1

2. Assistant Teacher (Arts) (UP Schools)

No. of posts: 1

Scale Pay: Level 8

Essential Qualifications: 
Graduate in Arts with 50% for General candidates and 45% for SC/ST candidates with B.Ed. as per NCTE Notification dated 23/08/2018- SI 1 and NCTE Notification dated 28/6/2018

3. Assistant Teacher (Hindi) (UP Schools)

No. of posts: 1

Scale Pay: Level 8

Essential Qualifications: 
Graduate in Arts with Hindi as one of the subjects with  50% for General candidates and 45% for SC/ST candidates with B.Ed. as per NCTE Notification dated 23/08/2018- SI 1 and NCTE Notification dated 28/6/2018

Additional Qualifications :

• MTET Passed Certificate: Compulsory
• DEI.Ed/B.Ed Passed Certificate: Compulsory
• Basic computer literacy will be an added preference

Age Limit :

• The candidates should not have crossed 32 years of age (relaxation up to 37 years in the case of SC/ST/ Differently abled candidates) as on 1st January 2020
• In the case of candidates already in government service, he/she should have first entered service within the age limit mentioned in Clause (i) above and he/she should have to obtain a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the concerned office/ Department for applying
• In respect of candidates employed in aided schools and contractual teachers, the age limit of 35 years (relaxable by 5 years in case of ST/SC Candidates) as on 1st January 2020.
