Considering inclusion of "Corona Virus" in Textbook

NCERT Director: Considering inclusion of "Corona" in Textbook:

The NCERT director Dr. Hrishikesh Senapati asked whether the council is considering including the subject of the coronavirus as a lesson in the curriculum? However, NCERT has placed the subject of 'coronavirus' in the proposed activities as a medium of communication in Hindi for second grade in the 'Alternate Academic Calendar' prepared for the primary class during the lockdown. Under this, in conversation and reading and writing activities, it has been said that children will interact with their parents. This conversation may be about a recent event. For example- they may ask why everyone is so scared of coronavirus? What is coronavirus? What does it look like? How does it spread? Is there any medicine for it? Based on this discussion, children can prepare a story, poem, or poster.

He said that this (coronavirus infection) has become a national and international issue. Everyone is worried about this. In such a situation, the inclusion of the coronavirus and its related topics will definitely be considered in the next course review.

He said that at this time textbooks have been published and have come on the market, so while preparing new textbooks and adding it (corona) during the review will definitely be considered. Preparation of NCERT 'The next review will cover topics related to Corona: Dr. Rishikesh' Textbooks have already been published in the market at this time.
