Assam Science and Technology University (ASTU) released the official notification for Combined Entrance Examination (CEE-2020) for Admission into B.Tech. programme For the Session 2020-21 in the Engineering Colleges of Assam. The Online Application opens on 2nd March 2020 at ASTU official website astu.ac.in. The Candidate can Apply Online here from below links within 20-06-2020.

Examination Name: CEE-2020 Assam

Eligibility Criteria: 

• The Candidate must be an Indian Citizen and a Permanent resident of Assam.

• Must pass the Qualifying Examination individually in the same sitting without any grace marks in the subject of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English with a minimum of 50 % (45 % in case of SC and 40% in case of ST) marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. The same sitting means a candidate must appear all the four subjects i.e. Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English together.

• The Candidate must appear in the Entrance Examination for admission (CEE–2020).

CEE 2020 Age Limit:

Must not be above 21 years or below 17 years of age as on 1st August 2020. 

Age relaxation:
The upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed to 22 years in case of B.Sc. passed Candidates. The upper age limit mentioned in (d) above is relaxed by 3 years for Scheduled Cast and Scheduled Tribe candidates.

CEE 2020 Syllabus: 

The CEE-2020 will be conducted as per the latest syllabus of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council.

• Exam Duration: three (3) hours 
• Total Questions:  120 multiple choice questions 

Marks Criteria
Four (4) marks will be awarded for every right answer and one (1) mark will be deducted for every wrong answer. There shall be no marks, in case, the candidate selects more than one option in the answer sheet. 

Syllabus Type:
CEE-2020 will be based on the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) Syllabus.

Examination Type:

• Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) Type 
• Paper: Single Paper
• Time/Duration:  (three) hours 

Marks distribution for CEE 2020

a) Mathematics: 40 Questions

b) Physics: 40 Questions

c) Chemistry: 40 Questions

Medium of Entrance Test: 
The question paper contains questions both in “English” and “Assamese” language.

Admit Card: 
The Candidate will be able to download his/her admit card from the University website www.astu.ac.in from 10th June 2020 onwards by entering his/her application form number/User name and Password generated during submission of online application.

Application Fee: 
Application Fee of Rs. 750/- (Seven hundred and fifty only) 

How to Pay a Fee?
Payment through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking(Online). Assam Science and Technology University shall not accept a hard copy of the Application and any other documents. Fee once paid, is not refundable.

Candidates must apply through online application form at astu.ac.in . Applicants need not send a copy of the Application Form or any Document to the ASTU office.

Important Dates:

• Last Date for online submission of Applications: JUNE 20, 2020
• Issue of Admit cards online: JULY 20, 2020 (till the date of day of Examination)
• The date for CEE 2020 examination: AUGUST 02, 2020
• Examination Timings: 11A.M – 2P.M
• Declaration of results: AUGUST 14, 2020
