Exam Name: Polytechnic Admission Test (PAT) - 2020

Educational Qualification: 

H.S.L.C. or its equivalent examination with Mathematics and Science as a compulsory subject with –

1. 40% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for General Candidates.

2. 35% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for Schedule Caste Candidates.

3. 33% marks [average] in Mathematics and Science for Scheduled Tribes Candidates.

Maximum age as on 31-12-2020:

1. 20 years 6 months [General]

2. 23 years 6 months [SC/ ST]

3. For Institutions outside Assam [against Govt. of India allotted seats] the upper age limit is 20 years 6 months.

Application Fee: 

An application fee of Rs.500/- [plus bank charges as applicable] is to be paid using “State Bank Collect” which facilitates payment through Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Payment may also be made in cash at any State Bank of India after generating the Cash Deposit Form from “State Bank Collect’ in the final step of Online Application. Further instructions will be available during the online application process.

PAT Test Center/s: 

Admission Test will be held in selected centers at Mangaldoi, Tezpur, Tinsukia, and Govt. Polytechnics/Institutions of Assam.

How to apply for Assam Polytechnic Admission Test 2020

All eligible interested Candidates should apply online by logging into

 www.dte.assam.gov.in and click on "Online Application for PAT-2020" will start from 01-03-2020 and will remain open till 31-03-2020 10-06-2020.

Before applying online, keep the following points in mind:

• Applicants are required to apply only through Online mode, no other means/mode of submission of application form will be accepted.
• Applicants are advised to fill up the online application form well in advance, without waiting for the last date, to avoid the last-minute hassle.
• Please keep your ‘scanned photograph’ and ‘scanned signature’ ready with you in the following format :
• Your recent scanned photograph only in .jpg format (file size should not exceed 100 KB)
• Your scanned signature only in .jpg format. (file size should not exceed 100 KB)

Registration Process

Step 1 - Click on "Click here to Apply".

After clicking, the Application Form will appear

Step 2 – Fill up the Application form properly. It is mandatory to fill all the fields.

Step 3 – Upload your photograph & scanned signature and save the Application form by clicking the "Submit" button.

Step 4 – Once the Application form is saved, a unique application number will be generated for you which will be active throughout your admission process. Read the instructions carefully and click on "Next" to continue, the next step of the application process shall take you to the Payment Portal of State Bank Collect.
Select Payment Category "PAT - 2020" and in the next step you will be asked to enter your:
   (i) Application number
   (ii) Name of Applicant
   (iii) Date of Birth
   (iv) Centre of Examination
   (v) Category
   (vi) Contact number
   (vii) Whether Differently abled
   (viii) Belongs to Tea Garden/Ex.TGL Community
   (ix) Belongs to Moran Community
   (x) Belongs to Tai Ahom Community
   (xi) Belongs to Koch Rajbhongsi Community
   (xii) Belongs to Chutia Community

Step 5 – Payment Process : There are two modes of payment: ONLINE and OFFLINE

(i) Online Payments can be made by Net Banking/ Debit Card / Credit Cards.

(ii) Offline payments can be made at any branch of State Bank of India by printing the generated Bank Challan and depositing the fee amount at any nearby SBI Branch..

Retain Printouts of the receipt generated by State Bank Collect, for future reference. The "State Bank Collect" step is the last step of the application and is required to be completed for successful application process.

Note: (i) Candidates who have successfully completed the above steps can check their status at any time by using the Applicant Login area.
(ii) Payments made/received shall be reflected and updated in the applicant login after receiving payment confirmation from Bank usually within 5-7 days.

No Appication (hard-copy) need to be physically submitted at the Directorate of Technical Education, Assam.

Candidates who have successfuly completed the above steps can check their status at any time by using the Applicant Login area. You can Log on to www.dte.assam.gov.in and click on Online Application for PAT 2020. In the next page, click on “Applicant Login” situated in the top Menu bar, an Applicant Login Screen will appear. Sign in your account using your ‘Application Number’ & your ‘Date of Birth’. to authenticate yourself.

• Go to the official website of DTE Assam www.dte.assam.in.
• Click on ‘Online Application for PAT 2020’.
• After this, the application form will appear on the screen.
• Candidates need to select the courses and fill the details as asked in the form.
• After filling the details, candidates will need to pay the application fee for the form, which is Rs.500+Bank Charge.(Application fee can be paid using an online method only)
• After the payment, the application form is complete. Candidates are advised to have a printout of the form for future reference.

PAT Assam 2020 Exam Pattern

ASSAM PAT 2020 Exam Pattern is to be decided by DTE Assam and may change from year to year. However, here are some details of the examination pattern of the exam:- ASSAM PAT 2020 will be conducted in offline mode. ASSAM PAT 2020 will have 100 questions, of 1 mark each. Candidates will be given a total duration of 120 minutes to complete the exam. Questions in ASSAM PAT 2020 will be from subjects of Mathematics and Science. All the questions in ASSAM PAT 2020 will be of multiple-choice type. There will be no negative marking in the test. PAT Assam 2020 Syllabus : Mathematics: - Candidates may study class 10 level topics like Basics of Quadratic Equations, Linear Equations, Geometry, Co-ordinate Geometry, Trigonometry, Interest, Time Speed Distance, Profit and loss, Factors etc. Science: - Candidates may study topics like Basics of Physics, Chemistry, Optics, Chemical Equations, Gravity etc. PAT Assam 2020 Admit Card : PAT Assam 2020 Admit Card will be available for download from 27th April 2020. Candidates can download the Admit Card from the official website of DTE Assam. Admit Card mentions all the important details regarding the exam: -. Candidates may follow the steps listed below to download the Admit Card for PAT 2020: - Go to the official website of DTE Assam- www.dte.assam.in. Scroll down, click on ‘Download Admit Card for PAT 2020’. Now candidates will be redirected to a page from where they can download the Admit Card. Candidates need to enter their Application Number and Date of Birth and Click on ‘Login.’ Option to download the Admit Card will appear on the screen. Candidates are advised to get at least 2 colored printouts of this Admit Card, for examination purposes and for future reference also.
