1. Multi-Tasking Staff
No of positions: 12 (8-Unreserved, 1-ST, 2-OBC, 1-EWS)

Age limit: 
Minimum 18 years or a maximum of 27 years. 
Age relaxation up to 5 years will be allowed for the departmental candidates. Relaxable for government servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.

Educational Qualification: 

• 10th/HSLC class pass from a recognized board/school.
• 3 years or more experience in relevant trade.

Pay: Pay Level-1; Rs. 18,000-56,900

2. Technician (Maintenance)
No of positions: 3 [Electrician, Plumber, Bamboo Worker]
 
Age limit: 
Minimum 18 years or a maximum of 30 years. 
Age relaxation up to 5 years will be allowed for the departmental candidates. Relaxable for government servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.

Educational Qualification: 
HSLC/ Matriculation from a recognized board with ITI certificate in relevant trade or certificate course from Govt. recognized institute.

Pay: Pay Level-2; Rs. 19,900-63,200

3. Technical Assistant
No of positions: 8 [Chemistry: 2, Botany: 1, Zoology: 1, Agriculture: 2, Forestry: 2], (UR: 3, SC: 2, OBC: 2, EWS: 1)

Age limit: 
Minimum 18 years or a maximum of 30 years. 
Age relaxation up to 5 years will be allowed for the departmental candidates. Relaxable for government servants in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Government of India from time to time.

Educational Qualification: 
Bachelor's degree in Science in the relevant field/ specialization or equivalent from a recognized University.

Pay: Pay Level-5; Rs. 29,200-92,300

Written test Venue: The test shall be conducted at Jorhat, Agartala, and Aizawl.

Application Fee: 
Non- refundable Demand Draft of Rs. 200.00 (Rupees Two Hundred) only from any nationalized Bank in favor of Director, Rain Forest Research Institute, Jorhat.

Exempted Apply Fee
Persons With Disabilities (PWD) and Female candidates are exempted from payment of fees. SC/ST candidates who apply against the vacancy of their respective quota are also exempted from payment of fees. 

Relaxation in fees is not applicable to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved posts.
