Highlighting of APSC Competitive Examination (Amendment) Rules, 2019:
- The Main examination conduct as the following
- Written examination and
- Interview tests.
- Essay Paper
- General Studies 5 Paper
- Optional subjects - 2 Paper
- Language-communication Skills - 2 Paper
The candidate will be shortlisted for FINAL ranking for interrview as per the Written test Marks obtained by the candidates in the Main examination.
Preliminary Examination Objective Type two papers will be as follows:-

Main Examination Papers details:
1. Paper 1
Paper Type: Essay
Total Marks: 250
Exam Duration: 3 hours
2. Paper No. 2 to 6
Paper Type: General Studies
Total Marks: 250 each
Exam Duration: 3 hours each
3. Paper 7
Paper Type: Optional Subject, Paper I
Total Marks: 250
Exam Duration: 3 hours
4. Paper 8
Paper Type: Optional Subject, Paper-II
Total Marks: 250
Exam Duration: 3 hours
The candidate after qualifying in the written test next process will be as follows:-

As per latest rules for APSC by Govt of Assam now the Candidates will be required to apply online using the website www.apsc.nic.in.The online Applications can be filled up to the last day for submission which will be fixed by the Commission.
The commission will publish the scores of the candidates through the public portals. The disclosure will be made in respect of only those candidates who will appear in the Interview/Personality Test for the Civil Service Examination and are not finally recommended for appointment.
The information shared through this disclosure scheme about the non-recommended candidates may be used by other public and private recruitment agencies to appoint suitable candidates from the information made available in the public portal.

APSC Latest Apply Process :
As per latest rules for APSC by Govt of Assam now the Candidates will be required to apply online using the website www.apsc.nic.in.The online Applications can be filled up to the last day for submission which will be fixed by the Commission.
APSC latest rules for exam Admit Card
All eligible candidates
shall be issued an e-Admission Certificate before 3 weeks of the examination. The e-Admission
Certificate/ Admit Card will be made available Online on the Commission website
for download.The Admission Certificate will not be sent by post.
APSC new rule for marking Pattern
There will negative marking for wrong answers marked by a candidate in the MCQ
Papers as decided by the Commission. There will be negative marking for incorrect
answers for all questions except some of the questions.For details read the
below official notification.
APSC latest question pattern:-
There will be 4
alternatives for every question in Preliminary Examination. For each wrong
answer has been given by the candidate, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned
to that question will be deducted.
If a candidate gives
more than one answer, it will be treated as a wrong answer even if one of the
given answers happen to be correct and there will be same penalty as above for
that question.
