Required  Qualification: 
Must have at least 55% marks in the Master Degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University and must have cleared the NET/SLET/SET conducted by the UGC/CSIR.

Pay: UGC pay scale of Rs. 57,700-1, 82,400 with other allowance as per rule and as admissible from time to time.

• A relaxation of 5% may be provided at the Graduate or Master’s level for the SC/ST/differently abled categories for the purpose. The candidate awarded Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC (Minimum standard and procedure for award of Ph.D. degree) Regulations 2009 shall be exempted from the requirement of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET.]
•  A relaxation of 5% may be allowed (from 55% to 50% of marks) to the Ph.D. degree holders, who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to 19/09/1991.
• Candidates have to acquire qualifications as on the last date for submitting the application. Eligibility like M.Phil/Ph.D./Seminar Papers/ Publications can be acquired and submitted on the date of the interview and not beyond. 
• In service, candidates have to apply through proper channel with a NOC from the appointing authority/employer. 
• The candidates must have Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) and must know the local language.
