Dr Anita Baruah Sarmah College of Education is a teacher training college established in the year of 2004.This College was established earlier by NERIM educational society in the name and style of ‘NERIM Teachers Training College’. However the name of the college was later proposed as ‘Dr Anita Baruah Sarmah College Of Education’ in the year 2006 after the premature demise of Dr Anita Baruah Sarmah, one of the chief founders of NERIM Educational Society. Accordingly, on the recommendation of the Governing body of the college the change of name was approved by Guwahati University, the affiliating body.
