Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) invites online applications from eligible candidates who must be Indian Citizens for selection and appointment as Apprentice Development Officers in the various Offices of LIC of India. The number of Apprentice Development Officers recruited from among the Employee Category shall not exceed 15%, from Agents Category shall not exceed 25% and from Others Category(Open Market) shall not exceed 60% of the total number of vacancies for recruitment of Apprentice Development Officers.

Job Profile:- It is primarily a marketing job involving movement in the allotted area.


Salary:– Stipend of approximately Rs. 34503/- per month during the apprentice period. On appointment as a Probationary Development Officer, basic pay of Rs. 21865/- per month (except for Employee category candidates) in the scale of Rs. 21865- 1340(2)- 24545- 1580(2)- 27705- 1610(17)- 55075 and other admissible allowances as per rules. Total emoluments will be approximately Rs. 37345/-in ‘A’ Class City.

Essential Qualification LIC Recruitment 2019:- 

Graduate in any stream OR a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

(i) For Employees category and Agents category in both Urban and Rural area- Applicant shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute or approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.
(ii) An applicant from Others category for recruitment as an Apprentice Development Officer in both Urban and Rural area shall possess the Bachelor’s Degree of a University in India established under a statute or approved for the purpose or the Fellowship of Insurance Institute of India, Mumbai.

Candidate Note:

*‘Employee Category’ means a confirmed whole-time salaried employee of the Corporation belonging to Class III.
*‘Others Category’ means the candidate from the open market.

Age Limit (as on 01/05/2019) : 

Minimum Age of 21 years and Maximum of 30 years.

Selection Process: Selection will be made on the basis of on-line test followed by an Interview of candidates who qualify in the on-line test and subsequent pre-recruitment Medical examination.The selection and appointment will be subject to the reservation of SCIST/OBC/EWS as per rules. The total number of vacancies including vacancies for the reserved category may increase or decrease, depending upon the actual vacancies at the time of final selection and availability of successful candidates after the interview. Selection will be on the basis of on-line test and interview.
