A walk-in-Interview will be held on 28 March 2019 (Thursday) at 10.30 A.M in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University for one (01) temporary position of Junior Research Fellow / Project Assistant in the Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB) research project entitled “Computational Investigation on the membrane-induced self-assembly and aggregation of a-Synuclein” under Dr. Mattaparthi Venkata Satish Kumar, Principal Investigator, Department of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology (MBBT), Tezpur University, Assam.

Age limit : Candidate shall not be more than 28 years of age on the date of interview. Upper age limit may be relaxed as per Government of India rules.

Required Qualifications:

M.Sc. in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology/Computer Science / Physics / Mathematics / Biophysics /Chemistry / Life Sciences / Zoology / Botany and Allied Sciences / MCA or M.E./ M. Tech or equal in Biotechnology / Bioinformatics / Computer Science / Information Technology from a recognized University with minimum 60% marks or equivalent CGPA in aggregate.

For Junior Research Fellow position M.Sc. candidate should have qualified NET/GATE/BET/BINC. However, suitable Non-NET/GATE/BET/BINC M.Sc. candidate may be appointed as a Project Assistant.

Desirable:

Candidate having prior research experience in the field of molecular dynamics simulation of biomolecules.

Pay : For Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 25,000/- (Rupees twenty Five Thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 28,000/- (Rupees twenty eight thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd year. For Project Assistant: Rs.14,000/- (Rupees Fourteen Thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 1st and 2nd year and Rs. 16,000/- (Rupees sixteen thousand) only plus HRA as admissible per month for the 3rd year.

Tezpur University Recruitment 2019 Service Period :

Duration: Three (03) years or till completion of the project or until further order, whichever is earlier.

Note :
(1) No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
(2) Those in employment or doing Ph.D. must submit ‘No Objection Certificate’ from the concerned employer / Ph.D. Supervisor.
